Argentina’s football team qualified for the Copa America final.
The current world champion defeated Canada 2:0 in the semi-finals of the continental competition.
Lionel Scaloni’s team played a successful game. They didn’t allow their rivals to attack them fairly, and with the goals of Julian Alvarez and Lionel Messi, they came within a step of a new big trophy.
Argentina took the lead in the 22nd minute when Rodrigo de Pol played brilliantly past Julián Álvarez, and the Manchester City striker showed he will be the first star of the team once Messi retires from the national team and routinely sent the “gauchos” into the net.
He is still ready to make a difference in favor of Argentina, Messi showed in the 51st minute when he deflected the ball after Enzo Fernandez’s shot straight into the goal and thus brought his team an unattainable advantage.
In the final, Argentina will win the second semi-final, in which the selections of Uruguay and Colombia.
