Too rich Transfer - Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will leave Olympique de Marseille after only one year in the team.

Although he spent most of last season as the captain of the Velodrome club in his only year with the team, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is taking a different path.

He received an offer from newly minted first division club Al Qadisiyah from Saudi Arabia back in May, but initially turned it down. However, as reported by the French media, he decided to accept the new one, and that could have something to do with the arrival of Roberto de Zerbi on the Olympic bench.

Apparently, the Italian thinks that Marseille’s attack should look different or he simply decided to reduce the playing time of the Gabonese player, which he did not like.

The transfer is certainly surprising because last season Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was arguably Marseille’s best player with 30 goals and 11 assists in 51 games.

Aubameyang is 35 years old and has definitely shown that he can still play at a high level. However, this will not be the case in the next season, except in the case of a reversal
