PSG secures a victory at Le Havre with a late surge

Paris Saint-Germain, the French champions, secured a 4-1 victory over Le Havre on Friday, taking advantage of a late collapse by the hosts to start their Ligue 1 season on a high note.

PSG struck early, with Gonçalo Ramos setting up Lee Kang-in, who scored with a left-footed shot just three minutes into the game.

However, PSG’s early joy was dampened when Ramos was injured in a challenge, forcing the Portuguese international to be replaced by Randal Kolo Muani.

Le Havre surprised PSG after halftime, with Gautier Lloris equalizing just three minutes in. However, Josué Casimir’s goal was later disallowed by VAR for a handball in the build-up.

In the final five minutes, Le Havre’s defense fell apart. Ousmane Dembélé scored with a header, Bradley Barcola added a third, and Kolo Muani completed the scoring from the penalty spot.
